All We Can Save Circle
In-person book group to nourish community and seed climate justice.
Service Description
Sheldrake Environmental Center is pleased to invite the community to join our new, in-person All We Can Save Circle—like a book club, but richer. Edited by Drs. Ayana Elizabeth Johnson and Katherine K. Wilkinson, All We Can Save is an anthology of essays and poetry from “60 women at the forefront of the climate movement who are harnessing truth, courage, and solutions to lead humanity forward.” The All We Can Save Circle provides a format for diving deep into this seminal literary work, deepening our understanding of climate change and building a nourishing community to seed lasting climate justice. All are welcome. Participants will need access to the book, All We Can Save, which can be borrowed from the library or purchased, new or used. This All We Can Save Circle is facilitated by Katy Romita. Katy runs OneSmallStone.net, helping people create more peace in their own lives and in the world. Her work combining mindfulness practices with climate education, was included in the April 2022 edition of Good Housekeeping. Katy is a certified Meditation Instructor and a Mindful Schools Mindfulness Foundations graduate. Katy holds a BA from Dartmouth College, and MPA from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service, and a certificate from Cornell’s Civic Ecology Lab.
