RESTORE: Practices for Bringing Calm

Service Description

Find yourself stuck in panic mode or constant stress? Empower yourself through a variety of practices shown to decrease stress hormones, improve sleep, and offer meaningful self-care -- not so that we can check-out, but so that we are better positioned to care for ourselves and others. Over the course of four sessions, students will fill their proverbial tool-box with breath work, somatic meditations, sound healing practices, journaling techniques, and a variety of “food as medicine” tools, including use of nervine and adaptogenic teas. Prepared with a diverse set of self-care tools, we are all better able to cultivate more calm in our own lives and in the world around us. Her approach integrates food as medicine, mindful practices, and a deep connection to Mother Earth. Kat’s mission is to help women transform their relationship with food, reclaim their vitality, and improve digestion through nutrition and nervous system regulation. Katy Romita is a certified Meditation Instructor, an Energy and Sound Healing Facilitator, and an Usui Reiki II Practitioner, bringing nearly two decades of experience in a variety of meditation and healing practices. Katy also holds a BA from Dartmouth College and an MPA from New York University. Katy approaches her work with the knowledge that we are all already whole, complete, and enough, as we are - and that sometimes it helps to get a reminder.
