This Earth Day: Why Electrify
Help the Climate From Your Kitchen Table
Service Description
The most powerful climate action available to most of us is already within reach: The decisions we make at our own kitchen tables about how we heat our homes, cook our food, and get around. This session unpacks what it really means to "electrify everything," why it matters for your health, your wallet, and the planet, and what the path forward actually looks like. Whether you're a renter curious about induction cooking or a homeowner weighing a heat pump, there's a starting point for everyone. Walk away with a clearer picture, real numbers, and concrete next steps you can take today. ABOUT THE FACILITATOR This workshop is led by Sara Conklin, a certified Electric Coach through Rewiring America. She’s also a Customer Operations Manager at Vayu, a California-based heat pump installation company, where she works on the front lines of residential electrification every day. With 20 years of experience making complex topics click, from high school classrooms to corporate training programs, she knows how to make learning stick. Now she brings that same energy to climate education, coaching neighbors and community members through the process of electrifying their homes one upgrade at a time. Sara lives in Amherst, New Hampshire and believes the most powerful climate action most of us can take is already within reach.
