About the event

This 4-session course offers an introduction to Buddhist meditation and is appropriate for those new to meditation as well as those looking to strengthen an existing practice. A variety of Buddhist meditation techniques will be covered, including shamatha (mindfulness meditation), vipassana (insight meditation), metta (loving-kindness meditation), tonglen (compassion meditation), etc. The ancient spiritual philosophy, as well as modern day neuroscience, behind each of these practices will be shared, giving students a solid foundation with which to continue a meditation practice after the course ends.

Time: 7:45pm to 9pm ET  (75-minutes long)

Days: Wednesdays, 11/1, 11/8, 11/15, 11/22 (4 sessions)
