About the event
For those new to meditation as well as those looking to deepen an existing practice, this course delves into the practice and philosophy of Buddhist meditation. Practitioners will be guided into traditional - and still applicable - Buddhist practices (such as Loving-Kindness), as well as into modern adaptations of the ancient practices (such as the RAIN meditation).
With the philosophy that we meditate, not to get better at meditation, but to get better at life - to decrease stress, increase wisdom, and generally improve the well-being of ourselves and those around us - this course emphasizes the practical application of meditation in our lives.
Taught over 6-sessions, this course allows time for questions and reflection, allowing students to understand and adapt the meditations for their own lives.
