About the event
Interested in learning more about climate change and what you can do? Plug into this book group to learn meaningful–and realistic—climate solutions. We’ll read Katharine Hayhoe’s book, Saving Us, to inform discussions. Classes meet every other week to give participants time to read between the sessions. Each session includes tangible tips and best practices, facilitated discussion, and opportunities for personal reflection and intention setting. Participants will leave the course with a better understanding of how they can protect our climate in practical, effective, and even fun ways.
Presented in partnership with Sheldrake Environmental Center.
Dates: Alternating Fridays – October 6, October 20, and November 3 (3 sessions)
Times: 1:00-2:00 pm
Location: Sheldrake Environmental Center
Ages: Adults
Fee: $30
NOTE: Participants will be asked to obtain a copy of the book Saving Us. To allow sufficient time to acquire the book and complete any initial reading assignment, registration for this program may close a week prior to the first scheduled date if minimum enrollment isn’t met. We therefore encourage early registration.
